The Development

This new facility at 51 Bridle Road will help strengthen the United Kingdom’s digital infrastructure and support the delivery of essential services. It will also attract new businesses to the area, helping to establish Sefton as a key hub for the rapidly expanding digital sector.

By investing in critical digital infrastructure, the proposals will support the local economy - helping to grow business activity, bring in new investment, and open up skilled jobs and training pathways for Sefton’s residents.

The Development

The plans involve replacing the existing buildings at 51 Bridle Road with a secure, energy-efficient data centre campus. There is existing planning permission in place at the site for this use, this development puts forward an updated design for AI Inference Clients.

The development includes:

Full Planning Approval.
Contracted 50Mw of sustainable grid power.
Planning approved for a onsite 110Kv GIS substation
Dual 110Kv Power feeds
Shell and Power, Target go-live date of Q4 2027.
Designed for 21kW per rack and a PUE of 1.275

The Development has received unanimous planning approval for the L51 Data Centre and forms part of the Liverpool City Region Combined Authorities Digital Infrastructure Roadmap.

This development will attract AI Inference operators to the area and provide modern infrastructure to meet increasing demand.
